FCP — MUTUAL FUND

The MUTUAL FUND is a collective investment scheme authorised by the West African Monetary Union (WAMU) Financial Market Authority (AMF-WAMU).

An FCP is a collective investment scheme authorised by the financial market authorities of the UMOA (AMF – UMOA). It raises funds from investors to invest in a basket of financial products: shares, bonds, etc. It allows investors to invest in the stock market and diversify their investments without having to manage them themselves. Each member of an FCP owns units in that FCP in proportion to their investment.

Profile

Each fund established defines an investment profile. There are three main types of FCP profile: conservative, balanced or aggressive, depending on the composition of the fund portfolio. These profiles define the risk level of the FCP, thereby enabling it to be tailored to the investor’s investment profile based on their risk aversion and appetite for high returns. The management of FCPs is entrusted to professionals approved by the AMF-UMOA (fund managers), who make the optimal investment decisions. FCPs are open to any natural or legal person, whether or not they are resident in the UEMOA zone.
