  • ECOBANK IVORY COAST: ECOBANK IVORY COAST CONFIRMS THE STRENGTH OF ITS BUSINESS MODEL AND THE QUALITY OF ITS OPERATIONAL EXECUTION

As at 31 December 2025, Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire confirmed the strength of its business model and the quality of its operational performance. Net banking income rose by 8.5% to 132.73 billion CFA francs, driven by sustained commercial momentum and a strong contribution from financing and services activities, whilst the faster growth in gross operating profit (+12.6%) reflects positive operational leverage and greater control over costs. The marked improvement in the net cost of risk, down by 38.7 per cent, is a particularly positive sign, reflecting both the improved quality of the loan portfolio and a prudent provisioning policy. This combination has resulted in robust growth in pre-tax profit (+14.9%) and net profit (+10.4%) to 63.48 billion CFA francs, confirming high and recurring profitability.

In terms of the balance sheet, growth remains healthy and balanced. Net customer loans rose by 8.0%, whilst deposits grew at a faster rate (+15.1%), leading to a fall in the loan-to-deposit ratio to 64.62% – a sign of improved liquidity and the bank’s enhanced capacity to finance the economy whilst maintaining a controlled risk profile.
