  • SOCIETE MULTINATIONALE DE BITUMES (SMB): Bloomfield has reaffirmed SMB’s A+ and A1 ratings, underpinned by the outlook thanks to robust liquidity, in line with the recovery in the oil market.

Bloomfield Investment has affirmed SMB’s long-term A+ and short-term A1 ratings for the period from August 2025 to July 2026, both with a stable outlook, reflecting the company’s high credit quality and strong protective factors. In the long term, the rating reflects good financial resilience, despite more significant risks in periods of economic pressure. In the short term, the likelihood of repayment is considered very high, underpinned by solid liquidity levels and prudent management of key factors.

The positive rating outlook is based, in particular, on the improvement in the international oil price environment, the rise in the refining margin index in 2024, and SMB’s ability to retain its export customer base, underpinned by a robust financial structure and rising net profit.
